Stroke Indicator

I URGE ALL MY FRIENDS TO READ & SHARE THIS; YOU COULD SAVE A LOVED ONES LIFE BY KNOWING THIS SIMPLE INFORMATION!!!
Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue:
During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ...she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.
Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this.
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
>>RECOGNIZING A STROKE<<
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. Chicken Soup)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is
'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
I have done my part. Will you?

Congratulation Dasha Logan

Dasha Logan, daughter of late Alleycats singer, scores on British music charts

PETALING JAYA: Dasha Logan, daughter of late Alleycats' vocalist Loganathan Arumugam, is herself making waves in the music industry and has notched her first hit on British charts with the single Cleverly.
Dasha's first-ever single rocketed up the UK Soul charts this week to the fourth-place spot.
The stunning 26-year-old said that she only learned her single was a hit on Monday, and was so shocked that she "didn't know how to react".
"I can't believe that I am number four, or even on a chart! It's exciting," said Dasha, adding that she did a "little happy dance" soon after she heard the good news.
The Penangite told The Star Online that she was really pleased with the positive response she received after releasing her single last month.
"I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it moving up on iTunes and Spotify. Now it is also up on sites like Shazam and Soundhound.
"It's amazing because these are the places where I'd look for songs from artists like Beyonce, and suddenly I'm there as well! It's mind-blowing," said Dasha.
Coming from a musical family, Dasha said that her biggest inspiration had always been her family.
"I grew up watching my father perform with the band, he is one of my biggest inspirations," said Dasha about her father Loga who passed away from lung cancer in 2007.
"I always knew that I wanted to be a singer, a superstar - that has always been my goal," she said.
"But I'm now at the point where it (the song) will either go up or down. It will be amazing if it will go up, and I'll be kind of bummed if it goes down. But it has been amazing just being on the list," said Dasha.
The singer-songwriter said that the melody for Cleverly came to her first and she struggled to come up with the right lyrics.
"I remember sitting down in London at an ice rink and I thought about my friend who found out that her boyfriend was married. I remember thinking how sad it was, and then the lyrics started flowing," recalled Dasha.
She finished the lyrics for Cleverly in an hour and said that she was happy with the words because it "fits the song well".
"It's a dangerous song. It's about cheating and telling guys that we are not stupid and we know when something is wrong," said Dasha.
Dasha said she has a new song coming out next year, and has plans to release an album with British label Areaboy.
"It took a lot of vision but everything finally played out. I had to step out of my comfort zone and do something I never thought I'd do, but it has paid off," said Dasha.
"I have to thank my family, who has been so supportive. If it wasn't for them, I won't be doing this," she added.

Foreign workers muse on the great Malaysian racial divide

Written By Selena Tay
This writer interviewed a foreign worker from a country torn apart by strife.
He has a diploma, is currently employed as a wiring technician, speaks good English and is staying in the same neighbourhood as the writer in Kepong.
Sharing his views of Malaysia, he said, "This country's administrative system is bad. In my eight- year stay in this country, I have seen much assistance given only to a certain race. If you think you are in difficulty due to not belonging to the 'elite', then we are no better as we have to 'pay extra' for some services, if you know what I mean."
He said that although Malaysia is still better than his country which is beset by internal strife, there is no leader capable enough of bringing this country out of the system and therefore the nation will go downhill fast.
20110609.171421 foreignworkerstHe mentioned that some of his colleagues who are not from the 'elite' community seemed to have lost hope and some are even thinking of going overseas to work illegally.
Great racial divide
In his opinion, the racial divide is a great impediment to progress as the government is still vindictive where a particular community is concerned, due to this community's support for the opposition in the previous general election.
He predicted that in the near future, Malaysia may experience an economic slump because of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) which he views as a terrible burden on the poor and the low-income group.
"Surely the poor will spend less due to the GST and some of them will find it difficult to make ends meet. I too will suffer," he remarked.
Another foreign worker, a neighbour's construction worker, said that he is going home soon as his country has  just elected a new leader who seems promising.
"If he turns out to be lousy, we will vote him out too, unlike you Malaysians who keep voting for the same party every general election. Soon you will come to work in my country just as I have done in yours, haha," he chuckled.

Mohd Firdaus may be jailed up to seven years and fined if convicted.
Deputy public prosecutor Najwa Bistamam sought for bail be set at RM15,000 for all three charges.
Mohd Firdaus's counsel Adenan Ismail pleaded for lower bail as his client has to both manage the firm he worked for and look after his young child, whose gender and age were not specified.
Magistrate Zuraini Abdul Razak granted RM2,500 bail for each three charges and fixed mention on Dec 15. Ridhuan was not present at court.

BEWARE - Latest Money Machine for UMNO Government

Some claimed that this unidentified object is a money making equipment for the government. Is this the government's new way of raising funds besides the GST? There is a speed trap camera in the dustbin.

Why attack innocent migrants?

Migrants do not simply walk into Malaysia on their own.
It is the politicians and Royal Household who are responsible for their presence in Malaysia.
In Kuala Lumpur there are estimated 60 illegal migrants who are working as TAXI DRIVERS  for our politicians and Royal House.
Don't believe TAKE A CAB and check their MyKad.  Most taxi drivers will tell you that the minute they arrive in Malaysia they are given a licence, MyKad and a place to stay.  They start work within 24 hours upon arrival.  Everyday at certain time they have to hand over the day's income to a runner at Times Square.
So now that a problem has arise, migrants are told to FUCK OFF.
But bear in mind this is only for now.
Come January 2015, you will see many migrants at your door steps.
WHY?  Because the UMNO Government need them to stay in POWER.

World's Loneliest Orangutan

World's loneliest orangutan does not know how to act like a primate because she has never even SEEN another of her own kind... while zoo visitors encourage her to smoke and force her to eat junk food

  • Katarina used to belong to Malaysian royal family but is now dying alone
  • She is kept in a miserable zoo with no companion, toys or leafy trees
  • 12-year-old doesn't act like an orangutan because she hasn't known others
  • Her mother was murdered when she was a baby, now she is on her own
  • Campaigners are desperate for her to get a mate as she is suffering so much

She was once the pet of Malaysian royalty but now the loneliest orangutan in the world pines away her days in a miserable zoo with no companion, no toys, no leafy trees and only a concrete block to sleep on.
It is believed Katarina, aged about 12 and about to grow into adulthood, has never seen another orangutan apart from her murdered mother and, says a devoted wildlife activist who is determined to find her a better life, because of her total isolation she thinks she’s the only orangutan in the world.
Alone in her squalid surroundings, she doesn’t know how to behave like an orangutan, unable to exhibit natural behaviours usually displayed in a leafy environment shared with other youngsters.
Visitors throw junk food at her and have been caught trying to force her to smoke a cigarette. She has no bedding and is forced to sit on cold concrete everyday for at least 12 hours after the zoo is closed.
Orangutans were sometimes referred to as the wild men of Borneo by British colonialists, but those days of centuries past were when the jungles were alive with healthy populations of the orange-furred ape.

Today it is estimated that only 50,000 remain in the wild on the Indonesian island of Sumatra and on Borneo, which is shared by Indonesia and Malaysia.
Their world is dying around them, as trees come down to make way for oil palm plantations and adult apes and babies are hacked to death by workers protecting the planted trees. For those people, hungry orangutans are pests which must be destroyed.
‘Katarina’s mother was without a doubt murdered because that is the only way you are going to get a baby away from an adult orangutan,’ says 33-year-old Upreshpal Singh, director of the Kuala Lumpur-based Friends of the Orangutans, a man who is totally committed to saving the apes as many other welfare groups in his country sit idly by.

VetiGel

The end of plasters and bandages? Revolutionary gel stops bleeding IMMEDIATELY and could be used on the battlefield to seal serious wounds

  • VetiGel works with the body’s healing mechanisms to clot blood on contact
  • It's being developed in a lab in Brooklyn, New York City
  • Gel is a plant-based haemophilic polymer that 'grabs' onto blood to clot
  • Takes under 15 seconds to staunch a serious wound and could be used on battlefields, medical emergencies at home and to replace plasters
  • Gel will first be used by vets to stop bleeding on animals

Whether it’s a cut in a kitchen, or a serious wound on the battlefield, the number one priority for any medic is to stop the bleeding.
And a new gel being developed in New York could save lives, because it can stop the flow of profuse bleeding within seconds.
Made from plant polymers, VetiGel works with the body’s natural healing mechanisms to clot blood on contact.

VetiGel - a new plant-based haemophilic polymer (pictured) under development can stop the flow of profuse bleeding almost immediately. This could save the lives of people who would otherwise bleed to death
VetiGel - a new plant-based haemophilic polymer (pictured) under development can stop the flow of profuse bleeding almost immediately. This could save the lives of people who would otherwise bleed to death
It’s the brainchild of Joe Landolina, a bio-molecular chemical engineer and former student of the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, who set up a Brooklyn-based company called Suneris.
VetiGel uses a plant-based haemophilic polymer that grabs onto blood and 'snaps it back together to seal the wound'

To make the gel, cell walls are extracted from a plant polymer and used in a similar way to Lego Bricks. When the ‘bricks’ are applied to a wound they reassemble to form a clot.
The gel changes shape and colour when it interacts with the tissue, which at first surprised the engineer.
It has antimicrobial properties and, when used by experts in sterile environments, is a safe, clean way to heal a wound.

VetiGel is effective because it works in tandem with the body’s natural healing process, in a new way,’ Mr Landolina told Bloomberg in a video.
In dusty war zones, VetiGel will most likely be used as a temporary fix to help soldiers until they receive proper medical help.
'Doctors would then remove it and treat the wound,' Mr Landolina explained.
‘Omar Ahmad, VP of Engineering at the Suneris, elaborated: ‘Let’s say there’s a soldier who is shot on the battlefield and has three minutes to live. A leading competitor can stop a bleed in five to 10 minutes - but he’s only got three.
‘You apply this [VetiGel] and not only will the bleeding stop within 15 seconds, it will stay stopped thanks to its high clot strength.’
Such technology, Mr Landolina claims, could save lives and replace 80 per cent of the wound-care market such as plasters, antiseptic gels and bandages.

HOW DOES VETIGEL WORK?

VetiGel works with the body’s natural healing mechanisms to clot blood on contact.

To make the gel, cell walls are extracted from a plant polymer and used like Lego Bricks.

The gel has antimicrobial properties and disinfects a wound while it stops blood flow.

In dusty, dirty war zones, VetiGel will most likely be used as a temporary fix to help soldiers until they receive proper medical help. Here, soldiers carry a colleague who was shot in Iraq, for more conventional treatment
The company is working hard to get VetiGel to the point where it is an FDA-approved product for human use.
Our goal is to get this in every ambulance, every soldier’s kit bag and in every mum’s purse,’ he said, meaning that one day we could all do without plasters.
‘This means the product has to be easy to use by anybody,’ he added.
VetiGel is about to be used by vets. Mr Landolina told MailOnline last year: 'For humans there are similar products available, very expensive but similar, but for animals, there is nothing that coagulates blood quickly enough.
'I have spoken to hundreds of vets and heard how in situations where for example, a spleen is bleeding, they would rather take the spleen out than risk waiting for any of the current products to work quickly enough. So Veti-Gel would be very well received in this industry.'
Having performed clinical trials on lab rats, Mr Landolina said he is constantly amazed by how effective the gel is.
An experiment performed on a piece of pork liver that was hooked up to a blood bag to simulate an aggressive bleed caught experts’ attention last year, because the VetiGel seals off the wound and stops the bleed in seconds.

WHEN COULD THE GEL BE USED?

The gel will soon be used by vets to stop bleeding in animals.
More testing is needed before it gets FDA approval to be used on humans.
One major application could be on the battlefield.
‘Omar Ahmad, VP of Engineering at the Suneris, said: ‘Let’s say there’s a soldier who is shot on the battlefield and has three minutes to live. A leading competitor can stop a bleed in five to 10 minutes - but he’s only got three.
‘You apply this [VetiGel] and not only will the bleeding stop within 15 seconds, it will stay stopped thanks to its high clot strength.’

2 most corrupted state in water

While Karma is at the door steps, the people responsible for the corruption in the States are blaming others.
For the past 40 years the worst politicians and Royal Household are Perlis, Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu. Since 2010 Perlis and Kelantan have cool down while Pahang and Terengganu remain in competition to out do each other to top the sin list.
Now that both these States are in water the game of blame have begun.  But will they ever learn from this and the answer is NO.
THE GREED IS TOO GREAT, WHILE THE SON WILL BE LIKE THE FATHER.
AND IT IS THE RAKYAT WHO SUFFERS THE MOST.

How much does a police inspector earn?

Cop loses RM1,550 after 'steamy session'  calls for backup.
KUALA LUMPUR: A police inspector who engaged a prostitute's service at a spa, here, landed himself in trouble after lodging a report that he lost RM1,550 during the act.
The officer, attached to the city police headquarters' Internal Security and Public Order Department, had called the Dang Wangi headquarters' operations room about 3am to request for assistance to find the money, which he alleged had been stolen by the prostitute.
A source said upon the arrival of two patrol policemen at the spa in a shopping complex, the officer immediately identified himself as a police inspector before ordering the two to search the premises.
“The policemen, with the permission of the premises' owner, then searched for the cash but could not find the money. The officer was not satisfied, and requested for a policewoman, who later conducted a body search on the 40-year-old prostitute inside a toilet there,” said the source.
The source said the officer then requested for the case to be reported officially.
The report furnished by the officer was detailed, right down to how much he paid for the services of the prostitute as he did not want to use a condom.
“After they finished (having sex), the complainant (the inspector) went to a toilet to wash up. After putting on his clothes, he walked away from the room before realising that his cash kept in a pocket had gone missing.”
City police chief Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa confirmed that police received the report.
He said the inspector was believed to have been mentally unstable after being in a coma for three months in 2012 following a road accident.
“I know that this incident has gone viral in social media, and I am not denying that it had taken place. However, I would like to make it clear about something, that this officer is not a bad person, as we believe that he did what he did due to the mental disorder from which he was suffering.”
Tajuddin said the force had previously referred the officer to its medical board, so that he could be discharged for being medically unfit, but the board turned down the option.
The officer was then reassigned to desk duties at the city police headquarters' closed-circuit television room, and was not allowed to handle any weapon.
Tajuddin said they did not have the heart to sack the officer, despite the troubles he has created, as the man would lose his source of income.
“I actually took pity on him... his mental problem is serious, so much so that it even tore his marriage apart. We are discussing with the federal headquarters, and I will bring this matter up to the Inspector-General of Police to decide.”
***********************************************
Folks how much does a police inspector earn?
RM3,000, RM4,000, RM5,000 or above?
You decide.
But for a police inspector to carry around RM1,550 cash 20 days after salary day is like telling me the cop is corrupted.
But to intentionally divert the attention away from the money reported missing is too obvious where the money could have come from.
Till today there is no news about all the so-called confiscated drug worth billions.

Corruption within the wall of local UNHCR staff

Al Jazeera zooms in on alleged abuse of refugees in Malaysian detention centres

Malaysia's treatment of refugees has come under the spotlight again following an Al Jazeera news report which highlights the horrendous conditions and exploitation of refugees in prison as well as corrupt dealings by local United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) staff.
In a yet-to-be-aired 101 East programme, titled "Malaysia's Unwanted", senior presenter and reporter Steve Chao went undercover as a priest to gain access into the "notorious" detention centres where refugees who are arrested are placed.
According to UNHCR, there are some 150,000 refugees who have fled from their home countries to Malaysia, hoping to be relocated to a third country.
However, Malaysia, which has recently been elected as one of the UN Security Council non-permanent members, has refused to sign the 1951 Refugee Convention or its 1967 Protocol to recognise the status of refugees.
Therefore, refugees are not allowed to work or even go to school, which has prompted them to set up their own community centres for their children's education.
They can also be detained at any time and placed into the already overcrowded detention centres where Chao found them living in squalid conditions.
The report showed Chao's encounters with dozens of refugees inside these facilities, many of whom are chained and handcuffed and others who have not eaten for days.
He also found women who were hauled in just hours after giving birth and children, which is a violation of the UN Convention on Child Rights.
Refugees are kept in their cramped cells all day long and some revealed to Chao that they had been forced to strip naked in front of others and are then beaten, slapped and kicked while one former detainee tells the Al Jazeera journalist that he had been subject to abuse with a steel pole.
Although Malaysian authorities have admitted that abuse cases do happen in the detention centres, Putrajaya has maintained that the conditions are better than in other countries.
Chao also unearthed an illegal trade in UNHCR registration cards, headed by a local representative.
"All the money from this activity goes into the pockets of some top guys in the UN. We have been doing this with him for a long time. We are thieves, and we look for thieves above us," a UN translator was quoted as saying.
The UNHCR mission in Malaysia have been overwhelmed with refugees seeking help as more than 1,000 refugees and asylum seekers come to their office every day.
“We’re like an accident and emergency hospital, not a general hospital. In an accident and emergency hospital you make tough decisions all the time about triaging and prioritising who is the neediest of the people in an already needy group of people," Richard Towle, who leads the UNHCR mission, said.

Syarikat gagal siapkan klia2 ikut masa dapat projek RM49.87 juta LRT Ampang
OLEH MD IZWAN
Bina Puri Sdn Bhd, syarikat yang gagal menyiapkan klia2 mengikut tempoh ditetapkan berjaya mendapatkan tender bina infrastruktur berkaitan LRT bernilai RM49.87 juta. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insider, 17 November, 2014.
Sehingga kini, UEMC-Bina Puri JV terpaksa membayar LAD berjumlah hampir RM100 juta sejak Jun tahun lepas.

Wisdom Teeth Dental Scam & Why You Need Your Wisdom Teeth

wisdom-teeth-impacted
The truth is, I am writing this article about the importance of wisdom teeth while all of mine have been extracted. They have been gone for years. I am pretty sure many of yours have been long gone as well. I didn’t know any better. We trust our dentists to do the best job possible while often not even questioning their methods. I should’ve questioned and should’ve researched myself. But now I can share my research and finding with you so you can make the decisions for yourself and not just listen to your dentist just because he tells you so.  Many of us have been told that wisdom teeth need to be extracted just because they are not really needed. According to the dentists, they are just unnecessary teeth that just inconveniently crowd out mouths.
What are wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth, also called the Third Molars, are the furthest back teeth. They usually come in when you are in your late teens or early twenties.  According to a report published  in the American Journal of Public Health, more than 67 % of preventative wisdom teeth removals are unnecessary. Out of 10 million wisdom teeth extractions in America each year, only 20 proved to be necessary. You have to understand that the old tale about wisdom teeth causing all kind of illnesses, is simply not true. Let’s look at it realistically, it’s a big money maker (around a billion dollars a year) for the dental industry.
In the 1900s, Dr. Weston A. Price did extensive research on the connection between oral health and diseases. He discovered native tribes, with their traditional diets, that were almost 100 percent free of tooth decay. He came to the conclusion that dental and overall health lie in nutrition. Fortunately, this discovery is practiced by holistic dentists nowadays whom understand that when you supply enough nutrients to the jaw bone during its development, all 32 teeth will have proper space in your mouth without crowding. This means that proper nutrition is the key behind trouble free wisdom teeth.
Dr. Weston Price also discovered that once these tribes started consuming sugar and white flour, their perfect healthy teeth, quickly deteriorated.
Why You Need Your Wisdom Teeth
Our teeth are vital, living organs within and connected to the body as a whole. Wisdom teeth are connected (according to acupuncture meridians) to our small intestine and the front of our pituitary gland.  In fact, 46 percent of the motorand sensory nerves in your brain’s cerebral cortex are interconnected to your mouth and face.  So any time a tooth is removed, it disturbs and breaks an acupuncture meridian that flows through the area of that tooth.  The meridian acupuncture system, known in Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 5000 years, shows the vital relationship between your teeth and your  joints,  spinal segments, vertebrae, organs and endocrine glands.

Wisdom teeth extractions can be dangerous.
Did you know that between 57,000 and 175,000 people after wisdom teeth extractions  have had permanent tingling, prickling or numbness caused by nerve damage. This, again, proves the point that all of our teeth are connected via nervous system pathways to every part of our body.  Though it is a common surgery for a lot of  Americans, wisdom tooth extraction involves very serious risks which can lead to sudden death. (here)
So for all these reasons, I do not recommend removing wisdom teeth unless there is a good reason to do so. According to Jay Friedman, a California-based dental consultant, more than two-thirds of all wisdom tooth extractions are medically unnecessary, and that most patients would be perfectly fine if they just left their wisdom teeth alone.
