The Farm

Here’s a short story which I have been told several times, and to this day I still carry around and share with other. Today i am going to share it with you and what I’ve learned, so you can take it away, use it, and pass it along to those whom have not heard about it.
This is an amazing story about a farmer, whom raised 3 young boys all on his own on a little farm. He worked hard, day and night to provide for his sons and gave them as good education as he could possibly afford. One day on his death bed, he gathered his sons. And said, “Sons, I am old now and death is around the corner, soon I will take my last breath and will be gone from this world. But before I do so, I have a little secret in which I want to share with y’all. In that field behind our house, there lies treasure, which will bring you joy, happiness, and wealth. Dig deep and you shall find what you’re seeking for. You will never have to worry about anything ever again.”
After the farmer had passed, the  three sons ran into the field with wild enthusiasm and began to dig and dig. They dug for many hours and continued for many days after. Days became months. With all their youthful energy, might, gusto, and ambitions, not even one inch of that farm had been left unturned. In the end, no treasure could be found. Eventually the three sons gave up, cursing their old man for giving them hope, possibility, and the deception, wondering his purpose for choosing to make fools of themselves for many many months.
So they began to farm again and left the treasure hunt behind them. The following fall, that same field began to yield a harvest that nobody in that community had ever seen before. It was unheard of. The three sons quickly rose to fame and became rich, with joy, happiness, and wealth. And they never had to worry about anything ever again. End.
What a beautiful story. Read, read it and read it again.
Through this story, I’ve learned the power of commitment, hard work, and diligence. And that if you put your mind to it, that you can achieve anything you ever want in life. No one said it was easy. Time and patience. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Take a moment and look at the all areas in your life that you can improve. Where can you put the commitment, the hard work, the diligence into your life? Your work, your relationship, your family, your finance?
Greatness start with YOU!
So start putting these actions into your life and see your life unfold with greatness and success that you were meant to have.
